Registrar of Companies implementation of Companies Act 2006

New Registrar’s Rules implementing the final elements of the Companies Act 2006 come into force on 1 October 2009.

From 1 October all accounts filed must include the company’s registered number on one of the following pages; the Directors Report, Balance Sheet, DRR or the Audit Report. In addition accounts may only contain black ink, whether typed or manuscript. Care therefore needs to be taken that all signatures are in black ink.
                           
There have also been changes to a number of commonly used forms to include those appointing or removing directors, changing accounting date or registered office among others. A comprehensive list of the new forms can be found at
